Remembering Charlie Kirk

Much has been said about Charlie Kirk since he was brutally assassinated in front of the nation. Charlie was yes a warrior for conservative ideals but more than that he was a good man.

I first met Charlie in college when TPUSA was just getting off the ground. I was beginning my involvement with conservative politics and he was a great encouragement along this journey.

Charlie would email me after sharing articles with him to encourage me to continue. He also happily welcomed me to his organization TPUSA. He did so with a graciousness and genuine kindness that I have found rare in political circles.

Charlie Kirk took it upon himself to meet me in person in those early days and spent over an hour discussing politics and other interesting subjects. Charlie had a positive energy and a love for America. After our meeting he sent me an email further encouraging me.

While we were in touch via email and telegram over the years that would follow it has been amazing to see his hard work and determination pay off. TPUSA grew into what it is today.

When we met again at an AmericaFest he was still so friendly and genuine as anyone who has known Charlie will tell you.

He truly showed the country what it means to live for a higher cause and to be true to one’s convictions while treating others with respect. He will truly be missed not only in the conservative movement but by patriots across our country and the world. There will never be another Charlie but we can all engage in the process the way he did.
