New Jersey’s MAGA Moment!
Everywhere you look in New Jersey from Cape May county to Sussex county, you see Ciatarelli. You see Jack Ciattarelli yard signs, bumper stickers and of course, countless tv and radio ads. With less than three weeks to go until the 2025 New Jersey Gubernatorial Election, the Garden State is hotter than ever.
Many political talking heads across the political beltway are looking to New Jersey as a bellwether predictor for the all important and crucial upcoming 2026 midterms. New Jersey had a massive ten point shift to the right in November 2024 for the Presidential election. The 2025 New Jersey Gubernatorial race has been nothing short of an all out political brawl, with both candidates trading barbs on everything from policy proposals, to cheating scandals, and Chinese Communist Party ties.
This Gubernatorial race has redefined the political landscape for both endorsements and political coalitions. Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli has landed five Democrat endorsements from Mayors and Commissioners alike. Ciattarelli has also targeted and ventured into Democratic strongholds like Hudson County and Union City signaling the competitive nature of this race. We’ve also seen democrat party voting fatigue across the state.
Ciattarelli’s bold campaign tactics have allowed him to out-raise his democrat opponent, and has put the democrats on the defense in what was traditionally perceived as a Democrat lock and keep.
The defining issue:
The skyrocketing cost of electric bills, property and income taxes, and other regulatory issues has been a main point of Ciattarelli’s campaign. Ciattarelli has also vowed on day one to do away with offshore wind turbines and farms.
With less than 10 days to go, the gubernatorial race has tightened significantly to within the margin of error in what some are describing as a nail-biter of an election. According to a recent Fox News Poll, Sherrill is just 5 points ahead of Ciattarelli. She had an 8% point lead back in September.
With the race tightening, the last two weeks of this campaign will only heat up, with endorsements from Former President Obama for Mikie Sherrill and a potential President Trump telephone rally for Ciattarelli.
Although the political star-power is unmatched, this gubernatorial race will come down to one word, “cost.”
